Dawn Didawick is a founding member. Her varied career has taken her from New York to Europe in the classics and new works. Broadway: All My Sons (Tony Award Best Revival), Regional credits include Actor’s Theater of Louisville, Long Wharf Theater, Hartford Stage Company, Globe Theater in San Diego, Alabama Shakespeare Theater, ART, Seattle, St Louis, and South Coast Repertory Theaters.  Her roles ranged from Dee Dee in Marsha Norman’s The Laundromat to Juliet, Hermia, Titania, Gonzala in works of Shakespeare to Amy and Clara in The Show Off, both productions with one of her theater mentors, Jean Stapelton. She has appeared with her husband, Harry Groener, in many productions including Caught in the Net at The Coconut Grove and Regrets Only at The Cape Playhouse.  Her participation in the development of new works included stints at New Harmony, The Gathering and The Colony (both in Montana). She serves as an honorary board member of The Alpine Theater Project in Whitefish, Montana, and has served as a long time board member of The Antaeus Company. A former board member, he’s acted, produced, designed, and production managed for Antaeus. He is a founding member of Andak Stage Company. Los Angeles credits include the west coast premieres of Ira Levin’s Cantorial (University of Judaism) and Denial by Peter Sagal (El Portal.) The Angeles of Lemnos, The Merchant of Venice (The Road Company.) and others. He has appeared in films and television, recorded a series of audio books and worked as a voice-over artist. A project manager and design consultant, he conceived and designed one of the three performance venues at the El Portal Theatre. He served on the North Hollywood Public Art Advisory Committee, and in multiple capacities helping develop the NoHo Arts District.

Bill Mendieta has also worked with many theaters around the country. At ANTAEUS has been in The Man Who Had All the Luck, The Proof of the Promise, A Tale of Charles Dickens, and Trial By Jury, many ClassicsFests, and most recently, The Zip Code Plays. Over the last few years, Bill played Ricky Ricardo in I Love Lucy Live On Stage in Los Angeles, Chicago and the 1st national tour. He earned the Best Actor Broadway-World Award for his performance. He has had leading roles in award-winning films including Best Picture (AFI Dallas film festival, etc.) for Soldier of God, and Trés. He’s also appeared on NBC’s Days of Our Lives and was in the web series, The Sanctum and in The Nevermore Chronicles.  Bill co-wrote and directed the comedy web series, Mob Boss Associate and directed the plays Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the world premieres of Beauty, Brains and Personality and Pray To Ball, which is now being developed into a feature film. Film credits as a director include Dodgy Dish, Slow Dance and in-house projects for the Mattel Corporation. His staging and multimedia credits include Tango del Cielo, which is currently on tour throughout North America.  Bill has taught numerous workshops for the Music Center in LA (Will & Company), Shakespeare At Play, The Antaeus Company and the Joffrey Ballet.

A proud member of the Antaeus Company since 1991, Melinda has appeared in Company productions of Peace in Our Time, Pera Palas, The Man Who Had All The Luck, Patience, The Long Christmas Dinner, Trial By Jury, Tonight at 8:30, The Plot To Overthrow Christmas among others as well as countless readings, workshops and presentations. In the Southern California theater community she has appeared on a number of stages and received an Ovation nomination for her work in The Illustrated Woman and won Dramalogue awards for Fools Die Fast and for her portrayal as Eleonora Duse in Lillian Groag’s The Ladies of the Camellias.  She has worked at regional theaters across the country (most recently as Agatha Christie in Agatha Christie & the BBC Murders), has made numerous guest appearances on television, has lent her talents to several independent films and writes and performs radio comedy with her darling husband, Philip Proctor.

Phil Proctor is a 15-year member of Antaeus and a 50-year member of the thrice-Grammy-nominated Firesign Theatre, recognized as one of the “Thirty Greatest Acts of All Time” with a recording in the Library of Congress. He’s appeared on-and-off Broadway, on street corners in the USSR with the Yale Russian Chorus, in many local and regional theatres, on radio, and in scores of films, video games and TV shows. He’s won Theatre World, LA Weekly, LA Free Press and Drama Critics’ awards, and his voice credits include Toy Story, Spirited Away, Monsters, Inc., Seahorse Bob in Finding Nemo, the Drunken French Monkey in Dr. Dolittle, Dr. Vidic in Assassin’s Creed, and Howard DeVille in the Emmy-winning Rugrats, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is currently featured in the independent films Window of Opportunity, Charity and The Love Addict and tours in a one-man reading of Don Quixote with the L.A. Guitar Quartet.

Marcelo, a founding member of ANTAEUS in 1991, performed in Three Days In The Country, Henry IV Part I, You Can't Take It With You, The Wood Demon, The Man Who Had All the Luck, Trial by Jury, Patience, Of Mice and Men, to name a few. Other Theater: Mark Taper Forum, Yale Rep, Milwaukee Rep, The Old Globe, The Colony Theatre, New Mexico Rep, Taper Too, and Ojai Playwright’s Festival. Peter Van Norden has appeared in Antaeus productions of Hamlet (Drama Critics Circle, The Hothouse (2019 Ovation Award for Best Actor), Macbeth, The Liar, American Tales, The Man Who Had All The Luck, and The Zip Code Plays. Other recent appearances include: The Tempest, An Interactive Production at Shakespeare Center LA (where he also covered and performed for Tom Hanks as ‘Falstaff’ in Henry IV, Parts I and II); Red Ink at Playwrights Arena (2020 Ovation Award nomination); 1776 and Singin’ in the Rain at La Mirada Theater; and for three years as ‘Ebeneezer Scrooge’ in A Christmas Carol at the Rubicon Theatre Company. In his native NYC he appeared in Little Johnny Jones (with Donny Osmond), Hamlet (with both Kevin Kline and Sam Waterston), Jungle of Cities (with Al Pacino), Henry V (with Meryl Streep), and Saint Joan (with Lynn Redgrave). His many regional theater appearances include the lead roles in both George Bernard Shaw's Major Barbara (at San Jose Rep) and Misalliance (at Center Stage, Baltimore). Peter was the first American actor to appear in the title role of Mike Bartlett’s King Charles III at Arizona Theatre Company (where he also appeared in Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys). He appeared on Broadway in Translations and An American Daughter;  several Off-Broadway productions and tours. Radio work with LA Theatre Works in The Great Tennessee Monkey Trial and Top Secret. Extensive regional work includes South Coast Rep, La Mirada Theater, Lincoln Amphitheatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and The Rep Theatre of St. Louis. Also Pennsylvania Stage, Center Stage, GeVa, the Guthrie, Denver Center and Carbonell nominated performances at the Caldwell. Many leading roles at Vermont’s Weston Playhouse.
