King of the Wild Frontier, by John Romano
Read by Joe Spano
Saturday, December 5 at 7:00pm
Long time Company Member Joe Spano will perform the original short story, King of the Wild Frontier, written by television writer John Romano. Set in the 60’s in the suburbs of New Jersey, and in a community infused with the influence of both the Catholic Church and organized crime, a young man learns about the subtleties of truth and loyalty and begins to understand the complexities of being a grown up. This funny, wry and beautifully written story will be followed by a discussion with Joe and John about their collaboration on this project.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain
Adapted and performed by Robert Beuth
Directed by Peter Van Norden
Sunday, December 6 at 3:00pm
Directed a little over a year ago by Company Member Peter Van Norden, this is Mark Twain’s classic novel adapted and performed by Bob Beuth. The performance of this American Classic is intended for adults and charmingly and imaginatively retold with Bob and his beautifully constructed puppets and multi-media design. It has previously been performed in Los Angeles and at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Connecticut and is being presented here as a tribute to our late, beloved Peter Van Norden.
