“Easy, girl. You're playin' with fire.”
August Strindberg’s Miss Julie is transported to Mississippi in 1964 at the height of the Civil Rights Movement. Miss Julie and John have been circling each other for a long time, occupying the same house but living in two separate worlds. Tonight, their worlds will collide.
Antaeus Company Member Gregg T. Daniel (Wedding Band) directs Stephen Sachs’s revelatory adaptation; a story of love, memory, dreams, yearning and recklessness, and how personal choice is both informed and infected by racism.
