Academy FAQs
We believe that learning is a lifelong process. The mission of the Antaeus Academy is to provide rigorous classical training to artists, and to open the doors of that training to our broader community.
We offer intensive scene study and specified technique classes for working and aspiring actors, as well as community workshops designed to deepen your engagement with the productions we bring to the stage. Whether you are a professional honing your craft or a curious audience member seeking a richer relationship with the plays we produce, the Academy offers a space for you to learn, explore, and connect.
You can pay for your class online using a credit card. If you need to pay by cash or check, you can call 818.506.5436 to discuss. Full tuition is due in order to secure your spot in the class.
Enrollment in an Antaeus Academy class is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, a credit toward a future class will be issued provided written notice is received at least 48 hours prior to the first class. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please note that tuition secures your place in the program — missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits.
We always have a wait list and if a spot opens up, we’ll do our best to get you into your preferred class. We may also recommend a different class we think you might be interested in.
Only on rare occasions, if needed for social media and marketing purposes. Antaeus employees will always provide advance notice of when photos and videos will be taken. Antaeus employees are aware of the sensitive and private nature of some acting exercises and will arrange with moderators before entering a class.
