Giving Through Your Donor Advised Fund
A simple way to keep the classics on our stage, season after season.
Recommending a grant to Antaeus takes only a few minutes. Your grant helps us pay the actors, designers, and crew behind each production, and it keeps our matinees free for Glendale students, many of whom are seeing live theater for the first time.

What is a donor-advised fund?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable account held at an investment firm or a community foundation. You contribute cash, stock, or other assets and receive the tax deduction in the year you give. The fund can then grow over time, and you recommend grants from it to the nonprofits you care about, when and as often as you like.
Many people use a fund to plan their giving for the year in one step. Others use it to set up support that renews each season.
A few things to know
- Give once, or every season. Most sponsors let you schedule a grant to repeat monthly, quarterly, or yearly.
- Your tax receipt comes from your sponsor. You received the deduction when you funded your account, so Antaeus will send you a letter of thanks rather than a tax receipt.
- Let us know it's you. Some sponsors list grants as anonymous unless you choose otherwise. If you share your name and address with us, we can thank you properly and welcome you into the Antaeus community.
- Unrestricted gifts go furthest. A grant for general support lets us put it where the season needs it most. If you'd like to direct your gift to something specific, such as our Arts Education programming, simply add a note with your grant.
- Planning a year-end gift? Each sponsor sets its own deadline for grants to arrive by December 31, and some fall in early December. It's worth checking yours ahead of time.
