Antaeus Theatre Company presents a free live reading of “90027: Griffith Park - The Fire In-Between” by Peppur Chambers, as part of the L.A. Conservancy's Griffith Park's 125th Anniversary celebration on Saturday, November 13.

The live reading will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Playwright Peppur Chambers; Director Rondrell McCormick; and Professor and Historian Mike Eberts, the author of Griffith Park: A Centennial History; facilitated by Artistic Director Bill Brochtrup.
The event will take place at the Griffith Park Visitor Center Outdoor Amphitheatre (4730 Crystal Springs Drive Los Angeles, CA 90027) and will be first-come, first-seated. No reservations are required. The performance is just one of many activities planned for the Celebrating Historic Griffith Park’s 125th Anniversary event, which is free and open to the public from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. "The Fire In-Between" is one of the six new plays to be featured in The Zip Code Plays: Los Angeles, Season Three. Set in the Depression, the play tells the story of Fernando and Difford, two ambitious young men who take government relief jobs maintaining the city’s large urban wilderness. But on the fateful date of October 3, 1933 something goes terribly wrong… How do we follow our dreams when the natural order has been disrupted?
