Getting to Know Cymbeline
A two day workshop with Dakin Matthews

As we prepare to launch our 2025/26 season, and as you anticipate our first production, we invite you to explore one of Shakespeare’s most unpredictable and genre-defying plays, Cymbeline. Antaeus Co-Founder and Shakespeare scholar Dakin Matthews will lead you through an exploration of this rarely produced work. You’ll read scenes aloud, discuss how actors and directors approach its shifting tones and complex characters, and gain insight into where the play sits within Shakespeare’s canon. You’ll also have the chance to share your own impressions and ask questions of Dakin and your fellow participants.
