Invest in the transformative power of live theater!

Antaeus Theater Company is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and we rely on contributions for the majority of our income. Everything we do is made possible by the extraordinary generosity of this community! Donations support our productions, signature reading series, subsidized ticket program, arts education (both in our Academy and in the community), and much, much more.

A gift to antaeus supports:

Award-Winning Productions

In 2020, our acclaimed production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle won three LA Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) awards, including the coveted “Best Revival”. And in 2019, with a total of 7 LADCC awards, Antaeus received the most honors of any Los Angeles theater.

Accessible Local Theater

Theatre is a profoundly social act. Antaeus is a gathering place where actors and audiences can come together for a shared experience. We strive to be welcoming and inclusive in all aspects of our work, including offering low-cost, subsidized tickets to our community.

Education

Antaeus offers two distinct, flagship education programs year-round: our community-based Arts Education program for underserved students at four local partner sites; and the Antaeus Academy, offering high-level training to professional actors.

Extraordinary New Work

In our Playwrights Lab, mid-career writers collaborate with Company actors to workshop scenes and bring their developing works to life. Select plays are shared with the public at our annual LAB RESULTS festival, offering an evolving, more inclusive definition of “classical” theater.
