AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTIONS
Antaeus has a long history of award recognition for our productions from various organizations. Our dedication to excellence, community and innovation has established us as one of Los Angeles's most respected theater companies.

ACCESSIBLE LOCAL THEATER
Theater is a profoundly cummunal experience. Antaeus is a space where actors and audience members can come together to share in the power of live storytelling. We are committed to making theater accessible to anyone who wants to attend by offering low-cost, subsidized tickets to the Los Angeles community.

ARTS EDUCATION
We believe that the transformative power of live theater should be shared with local students. We partner with local schools and community partners to host free student matinees during the school day. We pair each production with in-classroom workshops before the shows led by Antaeus Teaching Artists, and provide study guides designed to help students think critically about the plays and their relevance today. After each free student matinee, we offer post show discussions with the artists.
Additionally, we offer discounted tickets to students for all of our performances.

EXTRAORDINARY NEW WORK
Antaeus Theatre Company’s New Classics Initiative (NCI) nurtures new play development through our NEXT Commissions. NCI exemplifies our commitment to broadening the scope of classical theater and supporting cultural equity and inclusion. Great theater demands a multiplicity of voices sharing vast and varying ideas and perspectives. Our New Classics Initiative nurtures an inclusive generation of writers and supports the creation of extraordinary new plays that will stand the test of time.
