Masterclass: Getting to Know The Glass Menagerie

This Academy class is open to everyone—from theater enthusiasts and newcomers to seasoned actors looking to deepen their understanding of The Glass Menagerie.

As a way to prepare for Antaeus’s upcoming production, we offer you a chance to spend time with Tennessee Williams’s most autobiographical play, The Glass Menagerie. Company member, Rob Nagle, will lead you through an exploration of this masterpiece. You’ll read sections of the play aloud, discuss how actors approach the roles and the scenes, get contextualization of where the play falls in the American Classics canon, and learn about how Tennessee Williams lived and worked. You’ll also have a chance to discuss your own impressions of the play, and ask questions of Rob and of each other.
