The Changeling

Set in an enchanted forest, The Changeling introduces us to estranged couple Ann and Daniel, who return to a deserted cabin on the anniversary of their daughter’s mysterious disappearance — the event that destroyed their marriage. As a storm moves in and the electricity goes out, a mysterious child appears. She looks exactly like Angelica at the age of eleven… but their Angelica would now be eighteen.

Cast

Jeffrey has been acting professionally for over 25 years.  He received his MFA in Acting at Southern Methodist University and began his career on the stage both in New York and regional theatres. He was seen in Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out at The Geffen as well as the premiere of Robert Schenkkan’s Lewis And Clark Reach The Euphrates at the Mark Taper Forum.  His other regional credits include The Old Globe, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival and many others.  His New York credits include Shakespeare In The Park, The Public Theatre and CSC.  He has been a member of The Antaeus Company since the beginning and has participated in many productions and projects. Jeffrey’s film and television work has spanned his entire career including seasons on 24, Desperate Housewives, Body Of Proof, Rake, Killer Women and the films Tron, Home Of The Brave, Surfer Dude, Flicka and Flight 93 for A&E. Other work: HBO’s And The Band Played On and Citizen Cohn, as well as Arrow, Malibu Country, Cloud 9, Once And Again, Ask Me Again, Providence, Apollo 11, Quiz Show, Ruby, Working Girl, Holy Matrimony, Mighty Ducks 3, and many others.

At ANTAEUS: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Changeling. Vivienne started acting in local theater when she was six years old working with Lee Eisenberg at The Beachwood Children’s Theater Company. At age nine she was cast in Antaeus Theatre Company’s production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof as a ‘No Neck Monster’ directed by Cameron Watson. Since then, she has been working in independent film, television, commercials, and theater. In October 2022 she reunited with Cameron Watson in Jennifer Rowland’s audio play The Changeling playing the mysterious child Angelica. In 2016 she starred in her first music video, “I’m Not Your Friend” for the Ruby Friedman Orchestra. She followed that with a breakout role on the TV comedy special “Never Been Kissed” by comedian Nicole Burch anchoring the show as “young Nicole.” Vivienne is currently a reoccurring cast member on the popular YouTube series REACT and recently wrapped production on the feature film The Other You. She has been studying with Lisa Picotte at the Young Actor Workspace for several years and is a member of the HOOLIGANS Improv troupe. Vivienne is fluent in French and attends the International School of Los Angeles (LILA). She enjoys playing guitar, ukulele, piano and is addicted to buying vinyl albums and loves surfing.

ABOUT

Jennifer Rowland is a native San Franciscan who landed in Los Angeles by way of the East Coast. Her plays have been produced at Skylight Theater (The Lost Child), Pacific Resident Theatre (The Indians are Coming for Dinner), Powerhouse Theater (The Contest) as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (The Contest). She’s had workshop readings at Antaeus Theatre “Lab Results” Festival, (Regular Joes, directed by Jonathan Lynn, Jamal ("Ditmas Park"), directed by Michael John Garcés), The Road Theater Summer Playwrights Festival, (The Cold Inside and One Good Death), and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, (The Cold Inside - Andrew Carlberg, producer). Jennifer is an alumnus of Harvard College and American Conservatory Theatre’s Young Conservatory in San Francisco. She has served on the board of Cornerstone Theater and is Chair of the board of Pasadena Opera. Her short play Brett & Ashley was recently seen at New Perspectives Theatre in New York and her audio play, The Changeling will be released by Antaeus Theatre Fall of 2022.
