Available Now! Antaeus Book Club Discussions

Dear friend,

Last year, we developed the Antaeus Book Club (ABC) as a special monthly benefit for our donors and season subscribers. From October 2020 – August 2021, we hosted a total of 11 guided discussions exploring classic plays from our production history. Throughout the series, we featured 15 special guest artists who were part of each of the play’s original creative teams at Antaeus.

Today, we’re happy to release seven of these Book Club recordings to the public for the first time! In the spirit of our mission to explore timely and timeless works, grounded in our passion for the Classics, we wanted to share these behind-the-scenes discussions with everyone in our community, especially those of you who love digging into the text and learning more about the creative process at Antaeus.

Check out the highlight video below for a preview of the inspiring conversations from our ABC meetings, and then visit our YouTube channel for the full discussions!

Soon, we’ll be announcing some exciting news about our plan to reopen the theater! In the meantime, please enjoy these insightful discussions about some of our favorite classic plays, including Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, St. Joan, King Lear, Mother Courage and Her Children, Top Girls, You Can’t Take It With You, and Native Son.

If you’ve enjoyed Antaeus’s educational programs and projects this past year, please consider donating to Antaeus. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to support our mission this holiday season. We are truly grateful for your support. Stay tuned for more highlights from our Annual Report throughout the month of December!
