Set in one apartment in New York over the span of several generations, this World Premiere follows the poignant journey of a German Jewish refugee and her family in this heartfelt, lyrical portrait of a woman haunted by the past but resiliently moving toward the future.
Dirk Hagner was born and educated in Germany and received his MFA from the Folwangschule of the Arts, University of Essen-Duisburg. He moved to the US in the 1980s and now lives in Southern California, where he maintains his studio. He is currently working as a designer and printmaking & book arts artist. Until 2020, he was a full-time faculty member heading the printmaking program at Mt. San Antonio College, CA.
