Kwana Martinez

At ANTAEUS: Hedda Gabler (Thea Elvsted), The Curse of Oedipus (Antigone).  Kwana is a Vassar and Harvard grad who began her career working in NYC at New York Theatre Workshop, La Mama, Tribeca Theatre Lab, New Dramatists, La MaMa, Target Margin, and The Flea. Regionally, she has appeared at The Denver Center (Anne Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor), Milwaukee Repertory (Delia in Blues for an Alabama Sky), Commonwealth Shakespeare (Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Miranda in The Tempest), Contemporary American Theatre Festival (Amy in Tape), as well as the American Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, The Alley, and Hartford TheaterWorks.

California stages include South Coast Repertory (Julie in Mr. Wolf) San Jose Repertory (Pilar in Sonia Flew), North Coast Repertory (Beth in String of Pearls), Ensemble Theatre of Santa Barbara (Sonia in Crime and Punishment), The Colony Theatre (Aouda in Around the World in 80 Days) and The Old Globe (Nell Gwynn in Compleat Female Stage Beauty), as well as the Laguna Playhouse, Mark Taper Forum, and the Pasadena Playhouse. Kwana is on television, film, and in numerous commercials.
