Jocelyn Towne was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended Crossroads School for the Arts & Sciences and got her B.A. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley. Some theatre credits include: La Ronde, Chekhovia, and The Rover (Antaeus), Hedda Gabler (Little Fish Theatre), Phaedra (the Getty Villa), The Distance From Here (Shoreline Theatre Co.), and Free $$$ (Sacred Fools). In addition to theatre, Jocelyn has written, directed and acted for the screen with her two features I Am I and We’ll Never Have Paris. I Am I premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2013, where she won “Outstanding Achievement in Directing” and won a Special Jury prize at U.S. in Progress in 2012. Paris premiered at SXSW and was the closing night film at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Paris won the Audience Award at The Newport Beach Film Festival and is being released by MGM Orion.
